If you took a trip down memory lane to some of my older posts, you’ll find that my style was defined by statement pieces and over-the-top pairings. At one point, it would have been tough to find a simple black top to pair with all the floral print, sequins and embellishments in my closet. While I think I will always subscribe to a maximalist mentality, I have begun to consciously add more wardrobe staples that easily pair with all the notice-me pieces.
In short, I’ve found my wardrobe equilibrium, which makes getting dressed on a day-to-day basis so much easier. This dress from Banana Republic definitely falls into this new camp of wear-everywhere pieces. It’s classic without being boring, thanks to its pleated detailing and olive green shade, and I’ve already found myself reaching for it time and time again.
