Opaque black tights become something of a uniform here in New York from about mid-November through early April, so much so that I often forget what my bare legs look like come spring. With that said, it is crucial to continue to get use out of open toed platforms and heels, otherwise some of my best kicks would be on lock down for a long, sad winter. Yesterday, I demonstrated how easy this can be by pairing my wannabe Miu Miu leopards (last seen here) with said winter staple. Pairing the foot wear with a plaid shirt, a military inspired jacket and fur vest kept me just warm enough without extra bulk. So have no fear and certainly don’t let your strappy shoes rot in your closet all winter!
