For Chris’ recent birthday, I got him a robe to wear around the apartment in the evenings, because he has just never been a loungewear guy. When we first started dating, he would literally come over to watch tv in a suit or jeans and a button down. So proper, and so confusing. I just can’t fathom that level of uncomfortableness, so wanted to give him something practical that he could truly relax in. Since bestowing said robe on him, he is absolutely hooked. I, of course, have long been on the robe train, so now I’ve taken my addiction to the next level by wearing it from the couch to the streets.
Much unlike Chris, my love for the pajama trend is inspired by the runways of Dolce & Gabbana and Prada, which I discussed in this post. For this look, I removed the belt and wore my kimono robe as relaxed outerwear over vintage Levi’s and a white top with choker detailing. Try your hand at this laid back look with one of the silk or chiffon options I’ve rounded up below. There’s no time like the present to join the pajama party.
