To embrace the long weekend, Chris and I made like Master of None and went to Nashville for a few days of good ole Southern fun. We spent our time eating delicious food, shopping at charming stores like Emerson Grace and Imogene + Willie, and listening to live music on Broadway. For brunch on Sunday, I embraced pajama dressing and tossed on this striped robe over laid back weekend basics. Where to Eat in Nashville
5th & Taylor: Perfect for brunch classics in an art-filled space.
What to Order: The Monkey Bread is a must-try and great for sharing. For the main event, group think set in, and we all got the Chicken Sausage Scramble. Let’s just say everyone left happy.
Josephine: Perfect for Southern-inspired brunch.
What to Order: Start with the brussel sprouts and the bib lettuce salad (read: bacon and homemade ranch). The fried chicken and biscuits were out of this world. I also highly recommend the carafe of their St. Germain and champagne brunch drink. Making the only question “to share or not to share?”
Virago: Perfect for Asian fusion when you’re feeling fancy.
What to Order: We went here on MLK Day and happened upon their Maki-Sake Monday, meaning half-priced rolls and cocktails. Total score. My favorites were the Lobster Shooters, Korean Pork Roll, and the Wasabi Martini.
Etch: Perfect for date night over steak and wine.
What to Order: Outside of the filet, the Roasted Cauliflower at Etch has to be my favorite dish in Nashville. You might think this sounds boring until you hear about the incredible dipping sauces that it’s served with—pea pesto and feta dip. Need I say more?
