Some of my fondest memories of high school and college are of driving around my hometown—windows down, music up, and a friend or two in tow. Whether we were off on a road trip or just aimlessly driving around town (because yes, that counts as something to do when you’re in high school), I have undeniable nostalgia about hitting the open road.
Since moving to New York over seven years ago, I have only driven a handful of times—which my dad would likely argue is best for the rest of mankind. So, when Kia approached me test drive their 2017 Cadenza for the afternoon last week, I jumped at the opportunity to cruise around the city. My photographer and friend, Andrew, and I picked up coffee and used the sleek car to knock out a few errands without even having to go into the steamy subway once.
