I have vivid memories of asking my mom with fervor for a duster-length cardigan for Christmas one year in middle school. Upon the triumphant delivery of said sweater, I promptly paired it with red plaid pants, a tattoo choker, and the chunkiest black boots on the block for school (long live the ’90s…). Flash forward to the here and now, and the elongated knit is back in full force. For now, I layered this sleeveless vest over leather shorts, and I’m looking forward to layering a textured cardigan over a silky, slip dress. The best fashion moments always come back around.
