Long outerwear over a short hemline is my absolute favorite silhouette for spring. A lightweight trench over jean shorts? Yes. A long vest over a mini dress? Absolutely. One day last week, temperatures climbed into the 60s in New York, so I tossed this wildly versatile vest on over chain-embellished tweed shorts. Grey suede boots gave the look a transitional feel, and my favorite red lipstick was the perfect pop of color to an otherwise neutral look. Next up on my to do list is to actually go to a class in this boxing club, instead of posing in front it. I’ll report back on that.
