The Pants Party

In my mind there are two camps of people when it comes to pants—those who can wear any silhouette straight off the rack, and those who require lots of alterations (therefore wear a lot less pants). With my petite stature, I undoubtedly fall into the latter category, but I set my mind on finding the best pants for spring to share here with you. Now don’t get me wrong, this is not a conversation that includes denim, (my love for jeans runs deep, as seen here, here and here), but is more focused on polished trousers made from silk or  linen. For me, they’ve always required too much hassle, and generally make me look like a secretary from the 1980s.

After lots of trial and error, I’ve found that high-waisted, wide leg options are the most flattering, and I could not be more obsessed with these. I paired them with a cropped chambray top and statement earrings for dinner with Chris, and plan to wear them with simple crew neck t-shirts for days on duty. Who wears the pants now?
