Welcome to the second part of our apartment reveal! You can see our main living area and kitchen here, in case you missed it, and today I’m excited to share our bedroom and bathroom. Rightfully so, my most commonly asked question since announcing our pregnancy has been, “Where will you put the twins?” Here, you’ll see their sleeping quarters (hint: it looks a lot like our bedroom), plus the bathroom of our one-bedroom place in Dumbo. We’re excited to find a bigger place this spring when our lease is up, but until then, we’ll be holding it down here. Have a look around!
the bedroom
The best part of the bedroom is that it gets a lot of natural light all day long. We are also happy that it is big enough to fit two bassinets comfortably next to the bed. Overall, we wanted to keep this space as light and bright as possible with just a few fun elements, like these leopard pillows and these prints from One Kings Lane. Wish us luck when two become four in this room!

the closet
No apartment reveal would be complete without a look into the closet, right? As much as I want to be that girl with the meticulously organized wardrobe, it’s really hard to do in such tight spaces in NYC. Don’t get me wrong—this is definitely a larger than average closet for the city—but it’s the only closet we have in the whole apartment. We made do by putting shoe shelving for Chris underneath the clothing racks, and by adding in Ikea shelving for me to store my shoes. I’m also constantly culling down my clothing to keep things tidy in here. Hopefully, in our next place, we’ll have a bit more closet space in the bedroom, or at least a separate coat closet!
the bathroom
We were pretty excited to have more counter space in this bathroom compared to our last apartment. Now we can comfortably get ready at the same time in here, which definitely feels like a luxury. There wasn’t much storage in here either (sensing a theme?), so I added these cheap & cheerful cabinets underneath the sink from Wayfair. They’ll probably get a one-way ticket to the trash when we move, but they are perfect for the time being. My favorite part of this space is the giant Slim Aarons photograph that we put on the wall opposite the mirror. Who doesn’t want to escape to Palm Springs in the bathroom?
